The Young Epidemiology Scholars Competition is available to high school juniors and seniors. You must conduct an original research project that investigates the many behavioral, biological, environmental and social factors that affect health. Epidemiology is the science of exploring patterns of disease, illness and injury within populations, with the goal of developing methods for prevention, control and treatment to improve health. You must be a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa or the Mariana Islands. Only one project per applicant will be accepted and team projects are not eligible.

Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship

The Caroline E. Holt Scholarship is open to students who desire to attend or are attending an accredited school of nursing. You must obtain a letter of sponsorship from your local Daughters of the American Revolution chapter to be considered for this award. Financial need will also be considered. Your state scholarship chairman will assist in locating the chapter nearest you. You must write to the NSDAR by postal mail (address is listed on the sponsor’s site) to obtain this information.
